We have over 20 years experience creating wonderful celebration venues within our marquees. From the moment you first contact us you will experience the difference that we make.

We acknowledge that your marquee is just one part (although a very important one!) of your function and we are equally interested in all the other aspects of your plans to ensure that every service and feature integrates together to produce a seamless event.

Our skilled staff are employed year round and come to you highly recommended.

Probably the most important difference of all is the emphasis we put on the quality of marquee venue that we will provide for you. The fact that we have a dedicated cleaning room to clean our marquees thoroughly and a spray booth for our chairs and accessories indicates the importance we give to the condition of our equipment.

We provide marquee hire throughout Wiltshire, Gloucestershire, Bristol, Bath, Bath, Berkshire, Oxfordshire and Worcestershire.

Whether you are planning a drinks party or arranging a wedding, organising a ball or celebrating a party, we can provide the marquee and all the furniture and catering equipment you will require to ensure a successful and memorable event.


What is involved with hiring a marquee for my event?

richardson marquees work trucksContact us via telephone or the contact page within the website with the outline details of the event.

Based on these details we will create a personalised estimate together with a layout for the marquee to show how the space would be used. The estimate is broken down to individual items and includes lighting, carpet and furniture so that you have a good basis for your plans. We will send the details in the post with a brochure (or via email if you prefer).

At a convenient time, we then meet you at the marquee site. This enables us to understand your plans and ideas, and gives us the opportunity to show you many photographs of our work so that you can see the numerous options available – by putting our heads together and discussing all the options, we can ensure the marquee layout works best for the location. We have 4 different widths of marquee and all are built in 3m sections and can be joined together so we can ensure the best use of the space available.

Following this meeting, we will create a fully itemised quotation and revised layout for your review.

To secure your booking we request a 20% deposit.

We understand your requirements may change as your plans develop and we can amend the specification as required. We request your final guest numbers 2 weeks before your event and the final amendments are made at this stage.

The build team will arrive on site on the agreed built date and at the end of the day, the site manager will walk you around the completed marquee. We take final payment at this point.

The marquee is removed on the agreed dismantle date.

What if I have a difficult site?

marquee sited on uneven groundMany sites are not flat open spaces but we can provide many solutions to ensure your location is suitable for your event.

For difficult sites, we would reccommend our clear span marquees. These are available in 3m, 6m, 9m and 12m widths and they can be joined together to create different shapes to ensure the best use of the space available. All joints are fully guttered to keep the weather out. We draw a scale layout of the marquee so that you can visualise the space and how it will work for your event.

FloorStakWe can incorporate plants, small trees and water features within the marquee. Not only does this maximize the space available, it also makes the venue unique.

With the clear span marquees we can install a sub-frame wood floor. This is a steel and aluminum structure that can be built up to take out a slope within a site or create an even surface within fields or paddocks. We also recommend a sub-frame wood floor if the marquee is on a hard standing area as this allows water to flow under the marquee and not spoil the party. 

We can manufacture custom sections of PVC to join to areas of a marquee together or to join on to existing structures.

Can you work with other structures?

marquee with dining areaAs well as building marquees, we can install the marquee linings within sport halls, village halls, barns and so forth to really transform these into amazing venues. As each building is unique please contact us to discuss in more detail.

How much do you provide?

We provide marquees, and all the accessories you'll need, including furniture, lighting, and generators but we can also supply luxury toilet trailers, table linen and chair covers (in a wide range of colours), china, cutlery, glassware and catering equipment.

Depending on your requirements, who is doing the catering, and the facilities at the venue, we can provide as much or as little as you need to make your event work for you (and your budget!).
